I have a Panasonic 47-PTWX42F.
The TV Turns it self off and the on/off button will blink 3-4 times periodically. The TV will not turn back on unless I unplug the TV from the power outlet. Once I plug the TV back into the power outlet the TV will turn back on but in about 5 seconds will turn off again.

My TV surname off after 5-15 minutes of use. The red light in the front blinks once every 3 seconds continuously. If I hold the power button down on the tv, it will turn on and do the same thing.
turn tv on on remote 1. hit tv 2. hold down setup till it blinks twice(tv button light) 3.then press 991 wait till it blinks (tv button light) 4.press channel up slowly until tv turns off 5. once it turns off hit setup again 6. press the tv then power button and then see if tv turns on if not then you just missed the code(repeat)
Hi, 3 times LED blinks in Panasonic PT-47WX42 shows problem with convergence out chips failure as this tv has two big black ICs STK392-110 as convergence output, replace them to fix tv problem. Click Part Store to see an image of required chip and price info. Local tv tech is recommended if you have no experience of working in tv circuit boards. Thanks.
The convergence has failed thats what the three blink error code is. The PT53WX53 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com should fix that issue for you. The kit also contains the Cd with instructions.
Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.
That sounds like a power board problem if im not mistaken where your power cord plugs into the tv there is a board it connects to often times if u plug the tv in and it starts itself or turns its self off its the power board that needs to be replaced which btw is not cheap at all
