EMERSON MW8773SL my microwave wont stop running.i can unplug it and plug it back in and its still runs. i hit stop on the control panel and it doesnt stop it. the display doesnt show anything running its just blank.i tried putting in something new and it wont let me. please can someone help me out?

it's the second time i have had this problem. the first time i was able to play with it (pressing quick start, stop, 1 min, start, stop) and get it to turn off eventually. Now I can't remember the exact sequence that worked and it's been on for a day and a half. now im just leaveing the door open.

unprovoked, the microwave display changed to :08 and beeped. we hit clear and it happened again. we unplugged it and plugged it back in and now the display reads 0 and none of the buttons do anything.

Quite often this is due to a bad door switch. Opening the door while cooking (without first hitting the STOP pad) is the primary cause of door switch failure. Sounds like you have a ''smart board" or door switch problem, try to un plug the product, push all the 'buttons' on the control panel and then plug the product back in, if this does not correct the problem you have a component that has failed.

Sharp Carousel Model R-1440 won't stop running

It may be a sticking door switch (upper or lower, not the middle one) or the mount of one of those switches may be loose, broken or out of alignment.

Or it may be a sticking relay on the control board. We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so with a one-year guarantee.

If during this unwanted operation the oven lamp, internal cooling fan, and stirrer are all stuck on, but the turntable is not on moving and the oven is not actually cooking, then I would suspect relay RY1 on the control board is stuck.

That's what I suspect in your case.

Magic chef touch pad doesnt work

I don't have Magic chef, however, I would try hitting cancel, unplugging the microwave and waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in to reset it. Alternatively, you could go to your manual under troubleshoooting. I wish that I could help you more with this. Good luck to you. Please let me know if you figure this one out.

It should have a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

I'd call Emerson at 1-800-695-0098 to find your nearest authorized service center to have it fixed free.

It's probably a bad door switch or door switch mount.

i believe majority of emerson got programmin ERROR intheir KEYPAD.. my emerson microwave got similar issue ..its a brand new one abt few monts old..it started actin weird way ..its keypad wont work..tried many thing unplug it pluge it back in everthing tht necessary..but still keypad is locked..no not the child procted locked..it locked with a digits 00.00 ...sometimes it work sometimes it dont...so no clue wat to do ...

How old is it , if the control panel its going crazy .could'be somethig very simple , tell me the pad panel its plastic or glass, if its plastic its the kind that we can call membrane. this part can be contaminated an send wrong pulses to the controler . if not is the controler itself. unpluged the microwave and open it and check if youcan see dirty .grease bugs, etc. unplug the mebrane clean the contacs with alchohol and q-tips . let me know if works , is no worth it to replace parts on it because the membrane or the cotroler can cost 30 to 90 plus shipping
