I have a sva plasma tv that i just installed cable tv on it. but the channels are not appearing on the screen. i dont have an instruction manual or warranty. the cable tv antenna is in and sstill it doesnt work. does anyone have a solution to my problem????
The solution is in the remote. Check the remote. See the round circle? Well top left side of the circle there is a button which scrolls you through the different means of connecting the TV. Set it to TV. You will find that when you scroll through the different settings that you have several like: S-video, Ybsa, compoant, and TV. For cable you must have it on TV. It is something like that. Sorry I could not be more specific as I am at work otherwise I would just do it and be more precise.
Hope this helps some. Good day

When you say the remote doesn't get the channels I have to assume the channel entry behavior changed. I am not to familiar with this brand but these are the basics for most tv's. If you have not removed the cable input to the tv or unhooked anything before the problem started here are a few thing you could try. Push the menu or setup button on the remote and under the channel or setup option on the tv make sure it is set to Cable and not Air or Antenna. Run the tv through the auto channel search to reprogram the cable channels. This process can take close to 1 hour on some tv's since it has to scan through the digital and analogue tuners. This will allow your tv to add the correct cable channels and remove the unwanted ones. You should be able to enter the channel number or move up and down with the channel buttons on your remote.
A rolling picture means it is either not getting a good signal
(possibly a bad cable or connection), or it is receiving interferrence
from another device you have connected. Try disconnecting other devices
or turn the power off to other devices and see if the rolling goes
away. If you have Y cables connecting two devices it can cause this
kind of interferrence even if the second device is not turned on.
The only remote that works is the one 4 all.
Call ONE 4 ALL for the right model number. They then can program the remote on the phone to operate the SVA tv. It worked for me until the set died this week. Guess why I am looking on this site.
If you had this problem from Day one, you should go directly who you bought it from and see what they can do for you for the company info or service agent.
