How many exercise bands do I need?

This is a difficult question to answer because everyone has his own workout routine and comfort. In most cases you should purchase two exercise bands, one for fitness exercise and one for athletic exercise. You can always buy a backup band in case one gets ruined.

Why use ankle cuffs while training with an exercise band?

Ankle cuffs are a great addition to use while working with exercise bands. They use your own strength and body weight against you as resistance.

I am looking to buy an exercise band for home use but I don't know which one to buy. I want to be able to use it for a variety of exercises. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I recently bought an exercise band myself and this one was recommended to me by a trainer at my gym. I would recommend looking at it. Here is a website:

Can anyone recommend a good workout for my glutes using an exercise band?

My personal favorite workout for this is called the side step. You will need to tie the band around your ankles (I strongly suggest wearing socks) so that when you stand at hip-distance apart there is a few inches of band length between. Take 8-10 steps to the right and then repeat to the left. I found you an image of what this should look like when executed properly.

Is an exercise band worth buying for my home gym?

This depends on what you are looking for in a workout plan/routine. If you want resistance training, you may want to look into buying an exercise band. They are inexpensive and great for people of all fitness levels. Another major advantage to exercise bands is that they are easy travel with. This way, if you are planning a vacation, you can take a piece of your daily workout routine with you.
