Hi Laura and welcome to FixYa!

Yes, you should be able to change your monitor. You will notice that if you unplug your monitor's cable from the back of your computer, you will see an adapter that looks like the one below (called VGA).

I can't seem to find the specs on the new monitor you mentioned, but most new LCDs (flat screens) have DVI cables, which look like the picture below.

Don't worry, its an easy fix. Go down to your local electronic store and ask for a "VGA to DVI converter". It will look like the one in the picture below. Mine cost me about $8 USD.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Happy Holidays,
-TJ

Yes you can, there is no problem doing that. You may need converter thoug, it dipends on waht the inports are on you monitor versa your outgoing ports on you pc. Like if tthe outport id VGA and the incomming on the monitor is DVI, you need to convert the vga to dvi. A convertir can be found in any pc-store, and its very cheap to by, sometimes it even follows in the monitorbox.

Good luck to you and your new TFT monitor

I have a Philips 107e monitor... The monitor VGA connector is removed how it solder the cables with connector...

I don't understand your question exactly...is the connector you're referring to attached to the cable or the monitor? Or did it come un-soldered from the monitor PC board?

During use often screen turn voilet white colour then after hitting the monitore some time it turn back tell me what is the problem

It may be related to DRY-Solder of the components on Main board of the CRT. So please call local monitor repairer and make it to solder the components properly without drysolder.

To down load driver file for CRT monitor phillips 107E

apparatnlly 107e is not the full model number http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpproduct_selector.pl?searchtxt=107E&ctn=107E&slg=ENG

why would you want to download a monitor driver? i have never seen a monitor require a driver to work.

the only thing a driver does is it should include the icm profile which supposidlly matches the color but every monitor is not the same so i would be suprised if it actually acuratlly matched the color.
