Re: connect to pc and repair firmware with recovery...
Microdrive gone...open and replace by another microdrive (are they still being sold???). I replaced mine with a 2 Gb IBM used in a Canon digital EOS without any problems. Has anyone replaced the micodrive by a CF card yet? Should be possible...

Rooss, It seems that your player needs an update, and to do that you need to do as it's telling you. Sync it with the PC/MAC that you load/edit it with and as long as that Computer has an internet connection the software included with the player should detect the player (That's if you installed the Samsung software?) and download the latest Firmware for your player and guide you through updating it. I hope that helps, and Good Luck.
