Blue shadows the tv on all inputs gets blue shadows everywhere epecially on blue scenes. all movies and video games have a ugly blue shadow glow to it.ive played with the color settings but no luck. It worked fine till one day it was on all day then it just started getting bad for a few days, then magicley fixed itself for about a week then did it again. its so annoying because i cant even watch HD movies cuz they look like crap. Does anyone know what causes this?? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Had the same promplem after about 6 months, i had the whole thing relaced, it was a manufacture defect, it only happens on blue scenes or whitish blueish scenes and its not recoverable as the LG support said and i got a new screen in 2 days

Looks like you need to adjust some panel voltages, usually the VS or VSCAN voltages, the panel on the inside of the set has a label with all these voltages on it and there are test points and small adjustors for changing these voltages, lower the VS voltage about 10 volts and while adjusting them have it hooked up and turned on, so you can watch the changes take place, if your not sure how to do it get an electronics specialist to do it, these tv's are loaded with high voltagers and can cause severe shock, be careful

I tmay be your graphics card, but I would try and adjust your display via the Display Options probebly located somewhere on your Games Start Menu.

But like I say, it might just be your graphics.

Your problem is the convergence IC's (part number STK392-110). They will need to be replaced as well as matbe a couple of burned resistors that will be right by the IC's. Due to the complexity of this repair as well as the alignment required after the parts are replaced. you may want to contact a tech. Let em know if I can be of further assistance. Picture has a blue shadow

Hi,
Seems convergence out IC is fried in TV so it gives blue shadow.

Check out Convergence Out IC which you need to replace in TV, if you have enough experience of repair of big TV, necessary tools and know basic electronics.

Blue shadows appear to be behind white objects

TV shows large red spot in middle of tv when dark show are on, you can see it more. Now blue spots on upper right side too. Spend way to much on this tv to have these kinds of problems only after 3 yrs.

If you are getting the same problem with both TV monitors it could then be assumed it's an input problem to the TV monitor. If you are using a digital output from your receiver it could be the cabling. If you are using an analog output from your receiver it is probably coming from the receiver.
Digital video processing does have issues with darker scenes.
Can you try another video source seperate from the receiver like a DVD or better yet an analog VHS, if you still have one. Good luck and let me know.

no red lights, no previous error msgs, and video output on the box has just died. playing halo yesterday and mid-game the colours went askew (like a green overlay) with horizontal banding, backing out to the dash solved nothing so after a reboot there was simply no video. troubleshooted the tv and cables and its definately the box.
