My iPhone incoming calls ring but do not vibrate, but all other notifications vibrate correctly.

My incoming calls are the only thing that doesn't vibrate. Texts, emails, etc all vibrate with their tone. Incoming calls I only get the ring. I've tried all different ringers, beeps, chimes, (and even a duck LOL.).. Suggestions?

Strange. I would try resetting your iPhone. Hold down the home and power buttons until it powers off. It should start up automatically but if not just press the power button. This has worked for me in the past when my iPhone has acted strangely.
Don't worry about a reset or hard reboot. You won't lose any data or settings.

Hi Phillip, thanks, that worked.. I actually did try that once at the beginning, first thing I tried after the the settings looked ok, but for whatever reason it didn't work then but it worked this time .. so thanks for making me try again! I just got the iPhone last week (I'm seriously in love).. after I broke up with my Blackberry, me and that Caveman are through. I'm used to the BB doing wonky inexplicable things, but not so much the iPhone. :) thanks again ..

In iOS 7 go to Settings >Sounds > Ringtone.
Default Vibration will be set to None. Select a Vibrate option and this will resolve issue.

SOURCE: The iPhone does not ring, only vibrates

There's a switch on the left side at the top of the iphone that turns the ringer on and off. Make sure this is towards the front of the phone to enable the ringer

SOURCE: phone won't ring

Ok we have 2, and have had them for 3 years, so here is what it has to be unless its really broken. In the "settings" menu ther is a section for sounds, you can shut off any sound on that phone, the keys the on and off, anything. Look at the ring tone you have selected and see if it's on none, or if you hit the "airplane" button by mistake, that's the only two things it can be, otherwis go on itunes and back up your phone and do a restore. The update the firmware to the latest one, and restore your "stuff", if it still doesn't work, I hope it's still on warantee, because apple charges for everything once it off. I am really sick of their policys, and will be getting the new EVO now that we are off contract. They really nickle and dime you to death, and now your phone is obsolete every year with the 4th version coming out next month. It makes people feel like they were taken advantage of to come out with a new phone a month after they paid up for the current one, good luck

How to Fix iPhone Not Vibrating?

If you are in a meeting or attending a special event, you probably set your smartphone to silent mode to avoid any distractions from your phone. But what if there is an emergency? You will miss the calls and texts from your phone and then regret it later after realizing that it is a very important matter that needs to be discussed with you.

If you don't want to disturb your meeting or the people around you when your phone receives calls or texts, then choose to vibrate mode instead of silent mode - at least you will be notified if your phone receives any notifications. But what if you are using an iPhone and you learned that the vibrate mode is not working. What would be the reason behind it?

Fix iPhone not vibrating

Now, if your iPhone is not vibrating when it receives calls, texts, notifications, or when you switch on the ring or silent mode, then you need to learn some of the solutions to fix this issue. Here are the 3 effective solutions that you need to know.

Solution 1: Check the iPhone Vibration on Sound and Haptics Settings
One of the basic things that you should learn about your iPhone is how to set the phone settings, especially the vibration mode. If your phone is not vibrating, go to your iPhone settings then navigate to the sounds & haptics option and check the vibration mode from ringtone to text tone - if off, turn it on. Then disable the focus mode that restricts the vibration of the app's notification.

Solution 2: Check the iPhone Vibration on Accessibility Settings
After enabling the vibration in the sound and haptic settings but still your iPhone is not vibrating, then go to the accessibility settings and check the vibration mode is turned on.

Solution 3: Fix iPhone not vibrating via iOS System Recovery
If the first two solutions didn't work on fixing the vibration issue of your iPhone, don't worry. With the iOS System Recovery, all iOS errors will be fixed including the vibration issue of your iPhone. This reliable tool can quickly solve any type of iOS error.

Incoming calls dont ring on my iphone 4

Go to an authorized Apple dealer and let them fix the problem. That sounds like you might have a bug in your phone. (not a literal bug as in insect by the way)

My iphne 3 will only vibrate but not ring

If you're missing incoming phone calls due to your iPhone not ringing, you may have accidentally switched the ringer to vibrate or silent, according to Apple. The switch on the left side of the iPhone turns off the ringer and usually sets your phone to vibrate mode, but if your iPhone's vibrate setting is also disabled the phone will instead be set to silent mode. When in the phone's sound settings vibrate mode can be enabled, and the ringer volume of your phone is adjustable.

My iphone 3g does not ring, i can hear the ring if i have on ear phones or an ear piece. the signal seems to be okay. the settings seem to be correct.

Dear Dburnett412.

If you can't hear the ringer when there is an incoming call to your iPhone 3G, you may have overlooked whether or not the ring/silent switch is set to silence the ringer. The ring/silent switch is above the volume switch. If you can see orange on this switch, it's set to vibrate. Switch it to ring and you should be all good.
If this doesn't help, you may want to consider resetting the iPhone.

HTC Touch doesnt ring on incoming call

Hi. First thing, you can check your sound settings, by tapping Star Menu, then Settings, then Sounds & Notifications, and through that page, you can check if your incoming call alert is on (just sound, or vibrate and sound), you can try to change the ringtone to see if your current ringtone is damaged or not. (Since other sounds are alright, there shouldn't be any problem in your hardware or in the sound volume levels) Hope this helps.
