F14 is usually the fault code (open circuit) for the NTC sensor on the electronics module. I would suspect a bad connection from the oven temp sensor (located at the rear of the oven) to the electronics module. If you are able to remove the oven from the enclosure and remove the top and rear panels, (power disconnected!!) I would suggest checking all connections to/from electronics module. Also make sure door contact switches are secure and not loose (remove side panels) Oshie

How to address F14 code? Convection oven does not start.

Hey friend, thanks for your post!
I see that your Electrolux wall oven is displaying an "F14" error code. "F14" stands for display tail missing, which means you could have an issue within your main control board or keypad. I would perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by flipping your household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue I would suggest seeking a professional to come out properly diagnose and repair your appliance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

tip

My Whirlpool oven wont work, and I get error code E1-F5 on display.

Hi.

On Whirlpool ranges the error code E1-F5 means that there is a problem with the door latch switch or with wiring to door latch.

Try first disconnecting power for five minutes, by either tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord.

You may have to pressand hold the Cancel/Clear key on control pad down for about 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from ERC internal EPROM.

If that does not work, then there is a fault.

Disconnect power, access the door switch and testwires and connectors going from electronic control board to the doorswitch. An easy way to test wiring is by reading Ohms on the wire. Ifthe circuit is closed, the tester will read zero or low impedance, thatmeans that the wiring is good. If the multimeter set on impedance readsopen (no continuity), that means that the wire is broken and the wiringharness to the door latch must be replaced or fixed.

If there is no problem with the wires from Oven Electronic Control toDoor Latch Switch, then the door switch is probably faulty.
The switch can be tested reading Ohms on its contacts, and checking ifthe switch is opening and closing circuit while actuating the switchwith a pointed object at the same time.

If the switch is faulty, then replace the door switch.

After repairing the wiring or replacing the switch connect power back. You may have to pressand hold the Cancel/Clear key on control pad down for about 1 minuteagain, to clear F5 failure code from ERC internal EPROM. When F2 isshown on display, push the Cancel/Clear button again and observe theappliance working testing it again, to ensure that the repair had beensuccessful.

The tip is not only valid for Whirpool ovens, but also works on other brands that had been built by Whirlpool.

Best regards.

Ginko.

Beeping driving me crazy

Ok, the first issue is the oven temp sensor. it is shorted. you will need to replace this device asap. Now, the second is is concerning the Self clean latch. it is not functioning and it is unable to be locked by the control(shorted). Use the procedure below to test this device.

1. If door latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Replace door switch.
4. Re-apply power.
5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

F14 error message

Hi,
First change the fuse. Then if it still isn't functioning properly, you may have to replace the lamp, in which case you should contact a specialist. Details can be found in the Instructions Manual.

Go here:
https://portal.bsh-partner.com/portal(bD1kZSZjPTAwOQ==)/PORTALFRAME.HTM

and enter EB270 and click the Go button.
Then download the PDF file of the manual in English (EN)

Hope this helps :)

Chris (ziraffa)

ps Someone else on Fixya claims to have fixed the F14 problem by changing the PCB Board, whatever that is.. but there was no further rating or feedback given. That's all I have.. Good Luck!
