I have seen this caused by two things one is stray IR interference and the other is a bad controller chip. the srray IR happens more offten.

MANUAL FOR XM SKYBOX

Unit is very straightforward to operate. Hold down O/1 button for power. Use the "mode" pusbutton to cycle thru AM/FM/CD/AUX/XM. Treble & Bass settings are made by turning the 'tuning' knob.
For radio and satellite presets, hold in the numbered pushbutton until it beeps, and then it's set. You should be able to hear previews on XM channel 1,and that will help you with antenna setup. I highly suggest using the remote XM antenna. The built-in XM antenna need to be put 'propped-up' outslde, otherwise you have to use the external antenna. Use AC power as it eats batteries, or use rechargeable D batteries. Let me know if you have any more quesions. okay?

I believe the car radio is a Sony Xplod. I have sattelite radio as well. I don't know what button my nephew hit, but now I can't access sattelite radio. When I hit mode- it goes from Radio to CD to MD...

The "Changer Controls" are typically used for the XM controls. I would try turning off the unit and the car and pulling the Sony radio's 'memory' fuse for 10 minutes then restart. This is a tricky one.

''No Receiver''

XM radio is not working. Tries to 'Load' but then says 'no signal'. XM says that I am receiving the signal but Honda says there is no problem. They want to try to replace the antenna for $500 but are...

You best bet - if you can get to the rear of the XM tuner unit, is to temporarily connect a magnetic-mount XM antenna and see if it works. A bad antenna usually says "check antenna" - not loading could be a good antenna with a bad location. I would try the little XM antenna by itself, then go from there. $20 is a lot cheaper than $500. Let me know how it works out.

Do you have to run in AUX to get XM Radio? Your receiver and unit sound like its ok. This could be a problem with your provider. Contact your provider and their tech dept can help you organise a solution. Is your radio, XM ready?

Source Keeps Switching To Standbye

There's nothing in the wiring that could cause this problem; sounds like a fault in the faceplate. I would say the unit needs to be serviced.

XM RADIO PROGRAMMING

For the Ilo CA3000v, all you need is an XM direct tuner box, Model XMD1000, the cable that came with the Ilo radio, and an RCA cable to connect the two. The RCA jacks and the 8-pin DIN jack on the back of the ILO CA3000v are exclusively used for XM signal translation. You will, of course, need a subscription to XM Satellite radio, but the items listed above cover the extent of the hardware you'll require. The XMD1000 comes with the antenna as well, so no need to worry about that, and all XM features are controlled from the head unit itself
