Coby MPC-848 problem

Hi all. Whenever I load a list of songs from my library to my Coby MP3 player, the songs wind up in a different order. The MP3 player seems to list the songs in order by their file name, not by the title. And I cannot figure out how to change the file names. How can I get the songs on my MP3 player in the same order as they are when I make up the list in my library? Thanks!

You have to burn songs to CD first. Then load then back to your PC after deleteing old wave files. then load onto MP3. The ? is why. If you find out let me Know. I know post is old but So. New to Me.

A little more elaborate. Burn Music in order you want it, to CD. Then Rip CD to library. Then click and drag ripped files to MP3 player. Same with any album downloaded. You have to burn to CD, Then Rip, Then click and drag to have songs in exact order as artist ment for them to be heard.

It never puts them in order, trust me. But I think if tyou have a ~,- or something fancy before the title it ends up first.

Does not play the songs just keep loading.

In the settings page, change the play mode to anything other than "Preview".

Coby mp3 player

plug it into your computers usb port (or via cable if required).

go to my computer and you should see a new icon (possibly D: drive or removable drive)

open that.

the will either be a list of all the music or a folder to go to with the music in it.

select each song (one left click of mouse) or songs by dragging the mouse with left button down and then delete them (right click and choose delete).

DELETE SONGS

Connect it to your PC (like you did when you transferred songs onto it).

Click Start / My Computer & you'll see your mp3 player listed below your hard drive(s). Click on it & you will see all the files & folders stored on it. Delete them as you would any file in Windows.
