Question about Maytag MAH6700AWW Neptune Front-Load Washer
Washer will not start and the 2E signal keeps flashing. I unhooked the machine, then reconnected. Same signal. I cut off power at fuse box then returned power. Same signal.
Birdy, this 2E is the code for voltage to the motor control is either over or under specifications. You might have a harness loose on the motor control board. I have run into a few of these where all it was, is one harness not seated all the way. I believe you can get to it by removing the back center panel and it should be down on the right. Check all the harnesses going to it. Reset them if possible. You can also try putting it through the self test. Press and hold the chime and xtra rinse button together for 3 seconds. When the display shows 0, press and hold the wash/rinse and soil level keys for 3 seconds. It should go in the self test mode. It will check all the componets. If it passes, it will display a PA. If an error exists it will display SC. Look for a code of 91. Catriver..post back

Tips for a great answer:
Hello John Schmader - Sounds like the washer could be experiencing a communication error with main control board, faulty door lock assembly, pump or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Is the unit making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Does the washer display an error code? Try pressing and holding the START and PAUSE/CANCEL button simultaneously. All LED's will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LED's. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the START and PAUSE/CANCEL buttons are pressed. A two second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify an error (if one displays).
