I am in desprate need of assistances with my laptop. I am trying to reboot the computer but it is not allowing me and asking me to consult my system Supervisor...
I have purchased this laptop and use it for my studies, but it was kept on the shop floor as a display item and there for was linked to the main system.
Is there a way that I can change the status of the system supervisor so that I can reboot my laptop.
Pleeeeease could you help me.........
I guess it's an issue with your User account.
You need to create a new account with Administrative rights and delete the currently used account.
I hope you know how to create new accounts with administrative rights.
You can also see the screenshots of XP at
Hope it works out for you.
When the laptop boots and reaches the logon screen, log in as administrator. If administrator does not show in the list of users, press ctrl+alt+del two times. The log on screen will appear. Log in as administrator, blank password and make sure it's logging in to the laptop and not on a domain.
Then you can create a new user, Control Panel, Users, Create user. Make sure that this user has admistrative rights.
Restart the computer and this new user will show in list of users to log on.
Please let me know if you have any problems doing this.

First think , has it been dropped, jarred, banged, .....you get the idea? Does it continue to blink, the HDD? Do you see a "ghost image" in the monitor in a bright light? Do you here sounds? You say "nothing else happens", meaning the light stops blinking? Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, try to boot noemally.
A Windows Password Reset Disk could do all the job for you, it can reset your lost or unknown Windows password safely and quickly without login, you can create a Windows password reset disk with the tool Windows Password Breaker, then use it to reset your password.
Acer Travelmate 3210 is the Series and in that series your Laptop model is 3212NWXMI
like Acer Aspire 5300 is series and 5320 is the model number like that.
there was no need to update Bios now in case your laptop is turning on Please try to start in the Safe mode and there you shut down your laptop properly and try Restarting in normal mode. Secondly, If you are well versed with the technology then please try to reinstall the Windows Xp
and BIOS update is something you should be very careful of. do not try unless it is MOST required
