Hi, KP-51HW40 shuts off due to incorrect white balance and blue arch lines is an evidence of that incorrect white balance. I hope tv standby red light would flashing 5 times then 3 seconds pause and again 5 times when tv shuts down. This is rear projection tv that has three picture tubes (red-green-blue) inside to generate picture that projected at front screen. These three picture tubes must be drive with correct drive voltage to produce good picture of each color. Solution for your tv problem is Screen Voltage adjustment that can be done easily if you are handy with electronics stuff repair. Let me know your expertise level to guide you more and if you feel unconformable by tv repair then local tv repairman will help you to adjust white balance in tv. Hope these info will help you. Let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks.
it sounds like the playstation is still set for 480i. do you have it hooked up composite? (one yellow vid cable) that could be your problem, ps3 optimal with component(red green blue vid wires) or HDMI, then make sure your settings are saving properly on your unit
There is no problem in moving your set as long as the ride is not too bumpy, and i mean gravel roads with potholes. You should move it standing up though and if you can cushion the floor underneath the set it would be even better.Wrap it in plastic if there`s gonna be humidity and cold and let it warm up once it`s there.have a good trip.
There are several easy things it could be. The speakers could have been turned off in your audio settings or if you hooked up a cable or satellite box, dvd, vcr, game box or other piece of equipment that had it's own lines in for sound that could be part of the problem. Sometimes if you use picture in picture or the index function you can accidentally swap input and the primary input no longer has sound going to it. I'd definitely recommend trying all the simple solutions first.
Sounds like a bad solder connection in the sweep power supply. Not a repair for the novice I'm afraid. If you get it fixed before the set goes out completely, it should not be that expensive of a repair. Good Luck
Your problem is a typical convergence problem that happens on almost every tube type projection TV set ever built. There are two Convergence amp IC's that need to be replaced. If you have no TV repair experience, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in this. Good Luck
without seeing a picture I can guess that you may have a shorted green crt or the drive going to it has changed and you may need to turn down the g2 control for the green. If the tube is shorted or bad see what type of warrantee you have on the crts as some sets have two to 5 years. Good Luck
