My printer just displays an error msg 1203 which I have no idea what it is can you please help
The 1203 error message is caused by a communication failure between
one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a
short in one if the printheads. The procedures in this article will
help you to resolve this issue.
Troubleshooting a Communication Error between the Cartridge and the Printer

Power
off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Wait
30 seconds, then reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to step 2.
No: Print a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved.

Power
off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open
the top cover of the AIO. Using the carrier belt, gently move the
cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit.

Remove both cartridges from the AIO. Close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: There is a hardware problem with the printer. Continue to Contacting Lexmark.
No: Continue to Step 4.

off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open
the top cover of the AIO. Using the carrier belt, gently move the
cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit.

Insert the color cartridge. Close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Cleaning the Cartridge Contacts, and then repeat steps 4 and 5 of this procedure. If you have already tried cleaning the contacts, continue to Defective Cartridge Test.
No: Continue to step 6.

cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit.

Insert the black/photo cartridge. Close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Cleaning the Cartridge Contacts, then repeat steps 6 and 7. If you have already tried cleaning the contacts, continue to Defective Cartridge Test.
No: Print a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved.
