Just bought this TV off of Craigslist. Worked fine that the guys house. We moved it into my car and drove it home, then broght it in. Not a rough ride or anything, everything went fine. Set it on my Ent. Center and plugged it in. The little red light next to the power button on the tv comes on. I hit the power button and "nothing". The light cuts off for a sec and then right back on. There's no picture, sound or anything. I don't even hear a clicking sound in the tv like it's trying to do anything. I would think something happened during the move of it, but it was VERY uneventful. Not even a bad road bump. Is there a way to do some kind of "hard" reset on this thing? So, any ideas? Thanks in advance for all of your help.
What happened to your tv, think mine did the same

Hi greetings from belize after your set was pulled from the WALL it got a static causing the microchip to damage ,that is what you call a dead set.take it to a tech to have him look on to replace the chip and your regulator.or the whole power supply.good luck

Any kind of a "Ballpark" cost on that?
I have the same model. My tv worked fine but one day it just cut of while we were watching it. It would not power back on at all. So I set it aside for a week then I tried plugging it back in and it worked perfect (great picture & sound) We watched tv for about an hour then turned it off when we left for the grocery store. When we came back, we tried to turn the tv back on but it wouldn't power on. It makes the normal beeping sound when it powers on (and the red light lights up) but no picture nor sound then it turns off again........all within about 5 secs. What part(s) do I need and how much will it cost me to fix my tv? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I've had my TV for almost four years now, and recently it started cutting off while viewing. The picture would colapse horizontally to a thin vertical line, then colapse to a dot and off, and would not come back on. I waited a few hours and the TV came on as though nothing had happened. It's done this randomly for the last two weeks. I watch a little TV this morning, turned it off, now it won't come on. I unplugged it for a minute, but it still would not come on. The power supply must be the problem, maybe the fly-back transformer. At any rate it seems the TV has a protective circut so we don't fry it.
