Won't Take Picture Sometimes

For no apparent reason, my camera will not take a picture sometimes. The camera window displays a flashing error message "F--", which I cannot find in the manual. It then flashes some info like "R9". Perhaps a few minutes later, the camera will start taking pictures again. This is very annoying. Help?

My camera will not take a picture. It is flashing (r27). I do not have a manual. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I will be taking pics and then my D50 won't take a pic and, with the shutter button fully depressed, it reads "r27". It usually happens when I'm not at the widest angle of my zoom lens. If I back it off to the widest angle, it usually will take a pic, but I want to be able to zoom. I can't find the "r27" code (displayed in the lower right corner of the view finder) in the Manual ANYWHERE! Weddings of Your Dreams turn into Weddings of My Nightmares!

I have the same problem with my D50. I believe it is caused by poor electrical contact between camera and lens. The contacts may be dirty but I have tried cleaning them and I still get the same error. Moving the lens often solves the problem. This led me to suspect that it is due to slight wear of the plastic mounting bayonet on the lens. This allows the lens to fall slightly and disengage from the contact pins. My 70-300mm lens has no problems since it only uses a few pins.

I gotmy new finepix camera in December. it works fine but sometimes when I am looking back at pictures I have taken it say read error and cant see the picture. what is the reason for this and can I fix it?

There can be two reasons for this problem.
  1. Might be your memory card is not working properly. Thats why reading or writing errors occurs most of the time. Try again by changing the memory card.
  2. Sometimes the data writing process of the camera could e malfunctioned, if so you have to give this to professional camera repair center.

I have a DSC T70. Sometimes i get a message "File Error" for some of the pictures. For these pictures, the file does not show and when printed, the picture is merged with another picture.

The LCD screen of the Camera may display a FILE ERROR message when trying to view a still image on the Camera if the image was rotated, modified and overwritten using editing software on a Computer.

To play images you have taken on the Camera, it is recommended that you do not make any changes to the original image files.

E 18 problem

the E18 means the lens system has a problem. I had it with my S2 and sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Eventually it stopped working. The only solution was sending it to repair, they changed the lens system.
