PLTV-32 GOOD PICTURE, Static Sound

I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago been working great. Well last night i was watching it working just fine. Turned it off went to turn it on this morning and i get a good picture but no sound. So thinking that i have a 1 year old maybe he hit something on the remote so i did an all reset on it and still no sound. Turned it off unplugged it and turned it back on and now i have static and sometimes i get some sound but not to often all static and very little sound. If anyone has a fix for this please reply. Or if you think the TV is hopeless and i should just return it let me know lol. Thanks

If it is under warranty, you would be better off the return it for an exchange as the main board will need to be replaced. this board is not cheap. Good Luck

Sound and Volume trouble

I bought my Insignia 32" LCD in November 2007 - same problem. I figured out that if you press the "input" button on your remote select any of the other options "component 1, composite 1, etc.. that you're TV isn't on -then press "input" again and go back to the component that you're TV plays on - you'll have volume when you go back every time. I've gotten so used to doing it now that it's become habit. 9 times out of 10 I have to do it.

No picture, sound ok

Rca has been known to have bad solder joints in the deflection circuits. Usually around the flyback and transformers.. check it over real good. Just be careful as you can still get shocked after the powers removed the capacitors and picture tube will hold a charge in them.
