Broiler and oven igniter the same?

Both the oven and the broiler aren't working. When I checked online to order the oven igniter and broiler igniter, they were the same part number. Do I only need one? My model number is JGBP85WEB1WW.

It turned out that my broiler was working, it just took longer to ignite than I expected. So, I ended up paying someone to do something I could have done myself.

You may not need a igniter. the problem could be with your control board which supplies power to both the broil igniter and the oven igniter. In my years of working on ovens i have not seen a oven that needed both igniters replaced.

I would change the ignitor as a first try to fix it it is themost common failure..

most newer models of gas oven require electricity in order to work. I would check the outlet where you have your oven plugged in. Plug something else into that outlet to make sure it is live. If it is not, check the electrical panel breaker or fuse.

Amana broiler problem

Each burner manifold in the oven has its own igniter. If the igniter is defective, the burner assembly will not light. The igniter has to be functioning properly in order for the gas safety valve to open. This is a designed safety feature that prevents free flowing gas from entering the oven cavity without ignition. This reduces the risk of explosions.

There should be a flame spreader metal plate covering the access over the broiler. You will need to access the broiler so you can view the broiler manifold and igniter. Turn the oven setting to broil and make sure the igniter begins to glow. If the igniter fails to glow, replace it. If the igniter does glow, but you still do not have ignition after 90 seconds, the igniter may be weak and still require replacement. Oven bake ignites usually have lifetime 5-7 years. If igniter glows but gas not came in - replace igniter. Same with broil igniter.

How can I stop the "probe" and "bake" light from flashing? I have tried pushing the clear/off button. I turned on the oven yesterday, not using the probe, and the probe light kept flashing. I pushed the clear/off button several times and it stopped. Today I came home from work and the "probe" and "bake" lights are flashing simultaneously. I tried pushing the clear/off button several times. It went off for a few seconds and came back on. I pushed the probe button then the clear button. Both come right back on.
