Question about Dacor Epicure ERD30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Dacor ERD30 Epicure dual fuel takes two minutes for gas to flow

I have a 2001 Dacor ERD30 dual fuel range. My burners, all of them worked perfect. One day out of the blue, all 4 burners would not light. Yes, they are all clean, not blocked, etc. I tried a match thinking perhaps the electronic igniters were goofy, and no flame. After two minutes, a burner gets a tiny flame, that quickly comes up to full power. When that happens, all burners will come on instantly when turned on. Turn all off, turn back on all work great. Wait 24 hours, takes two minutes to light again. No gas smell, no apparent leaks, nothing was moved, added to house, etc. All other gas appliances work just fine (two furnaces, water heater (electronic ignition again) gas grill hooked up to house natural gas, fireplace, etc. Cannot tell on the oven as it takes a while to light anyways. Do you think it is the reulator? How hard is it to replace myself? Yes, I am "handy". Thank you.

Burner flame yellow

If you have LP gas, you may still have Natural gas Orifice's. So it would need to be converted.

Why dont my burners stay lit on my Dacor Dual Fuel ERSD30 range? They work fine for about 30 seconds, then stop.

hello,it's duely because the gas supply is not being supplied as it is suppose too, kindly check if you are not short of gas or probably if the hose that supplies the gas is not having thorough flow of the gas.
wish you good luck,

take care.
