Re: How do i take headrest off of my graco 3 in 1?
There is a gray tab on each side where the head rest slides in if you push them in it will allow you to pull the head rest out part way then push in the red head rest adjust button and it allows you to pull it the rest of the way out.

Tilt the seat then you will see two plastic surrounds where the headrest supports slide into, one will have a tab, with the seat tilted so the headrest can clear the roof push the tab at the same time as you tug the headrest out and the headrest will slide out.
I turned my headrests backward. Worked great. In fact, I wonder if the engineers designed them that way but the production guys build them backward??? 1) Tilt the seat way back to allow room to remove headrests, 2) Press and hold both headrest release tabs at the same time and have someone else pull out the headrest completely, 3) turn the headrests backward and insert into the two headrest guide slots (headrests fit the same either way). 4) No more pain in the neck !!! Caution: I do not know what this does for whiplash injury protection but it seems OK for my own comfort with the solution. And it beats the pain in the neck caused by the bass-akwards design.
1.Lift headrest and headrest support bars trim all the way up. 2.Insert tongue depressor (or slim jim) down the front side of the headrest bar.Push depressor down as far as possible. When the depressor is beneath the headrest trim piece, push headrest all of the way down. 3. Lift headrest to remove.
Im doing the same thing.. Push the headrest full forward, then lift hard to get past last indent in pole.. This worked for the front as well.. i also could not find a hole to push
There Is A Button At The Bottom Of One Of The Silver Posts Hold It The Whole Time You Are Lifting The Headrest Out. The Little Button Is Almost Always Grey Plastic.
We just fixed this issue tonight! We had to realign the bar (the
silver bar you described) into the correct slots. One curve sits in the
headrest piece, and the other curve slides into the seat back. If you
hold the headrest in position, you should be able to see the slot at
the same location as where the curve hits the seat back. Slide that
curve into the slot from the side of the seat back.
Then align the 4 or 5 headrest tabs BEHIND the seat back, and the bar
should position itself across all the "hinges". It takes a little force
(or a flat head screwdriver) to push that bar back into the the
"hinges", but once in it should work just fine.
