Cant save picture settings toshiba ct 90164

The picture is not full screen when I use it, and having to set the screen size every time I use the TV its getting old.

There may be an active lock for setting changes. Look through the settings of the input device and check whether that has got changed.

assuming you all have comcast and using an hdmi cable
first access menu (hit it twice) and go to set picture format, choose passthrough....or in your case auto hdmi

then turn box off, press guide and info on the front of the box, proceed through the setup, advanced is more in depth..lol...

select 1080, 720, and then either the standard or widescreen 480s to your liking.....

voila....

now check your tv settings to accommodate

can you use the vga source from your laptop to the pc input on the LG a standard vga monitor cable will do then set your laptop to output the vga signal

The aspect ratio (zoom) button on the cable remote had been changed. On Brighthouse the # button toggles through the zoom settings. It's not a tv issue, it's a cable fix.

Your TV is in DEMO-STORE MODE.
Go to menu, find Plug & Play option, start it, and when asked, select Home Mode, than Enter and than just Exit.

I have a brand new Toshiba 42" LCD HDTV and I want to keep the picture size at 16:9. When I shut off the TV, it goes back to a smaller picture size and I have to make it larger by using the picture...

You need to save settings after you go to picture manu.
It will be easier if you save screen format to autodetect.

I can not get a full screen picture on my Toshiba Cyclone ABX TV

Some sets do not have full 16X9 and also some sets using a cable or sat box will determine the size of the picture and not the set.

Check and read owner manual for features and if cable/sat has variable or fixed (usually is different channel to channel) format for this.

I have a toshiba theatreview and all of a sudden my full screen to a smaller suare within the full screen, can you help?

This is common and isn't a hardware problem. Your set has an automatic screen size adjustment enabled by default. This will sometimes result in very odd screen sizes and strange resolutions as it attempts to translate your picture into the most viewable format. The solution is to set your TV to it's native resolution of 720i, 720p, 1080i, etc manually to achieve proper side to side resolution. Unfortunately most cable providers and some satellite providers do not play well with all sets, so this adjustment is necessary to fix the problem.

Full tv screen is not being diplayed horzontally.

First thing to check is the picture size. You can view many program formats in a variety of picture sizes

The format of the image will vary depending on the format of the signal you are currently watching from you cable or satellite provider. Select the picture size that displays the current program the way that looks best to you.

To select the picture size using the remote control:

Press I on the remote control.
While the Picture Size screen is open, you can do one of the following to select your desired picture size:

• Repeatedly press I.
• Press the corresponding Number button (0–6) while the Picture Size screen is open.
• Press B or b while the Picture Size screen is open.

To select the picture size using the menus:

Select Picture Size in the Theater Settings menu.
Press C or c to select the desired picture size setting.
Highlight Done and press T.

Some of the picture sizes may not be available depending on the receiving signal format from your cable or satellite provider (those will be “grayed out” in the Picture Size screen).

Second thing to check is the Native Mode which restores the size of the picture by the 3-5% that is generally lost during the normal over scanning that occurs on traditional sets. It also avoids unnecessary scaling of 1920 x 1080 HD signals. I hope this helps and good luck!

CT-F683 TV fault

Press setup on your foxtel remote, go to systems settings, and look for "TV Type" menu, you can change settings there, your TV is a 4.3 (square) not widescreen. Its not a telly problem your just giving it the wrong signal.

High def picture is cut off on the sides

I have a Toshiba 50HP15 PLasma flat screen TV. Its been working tone for 2 years now. All of a sudden without warningm the right 1/3 of tghe picture is missing and is black, where as the other 2/3rd of the picture is great picture and in HD. When I press DISPLAY on the remote control is says FULL 720p. When I press the Picture Size button on the remote the message NOT AVAILABLE come on. Anyone with suggestions. Thanks
