Is buying a refurbished elliptical trainer a good deal?

Most elliptical machines that have been refurbished are around 2 years old. Essentially, the machine is cleaned up and broken parts are replaced. Refurbished machines can sometimes look used, but if that doesn't bother you than it may be worth buying one if the price is right.

We live in a small apartment in Chicago. I really want to buy a cardio elliptical machine but am afraid that they will all be too big for our place. Can anyone recommend something similar?

I need some replacement parts for my elliptical trainer. Where can I find them?

The first thing you should do is check with your manufacturer. Not only should you be covered by warranty, but they should have the right parts for your machine. If your warranty is expired or the manufacturer has gone out of business, you should look elsewhere for parts specific to your machine; however universal parts may also do the trick. If this is the case, you may want to consider buying used parts.
