Sony cd/dvd player dvp ns67p with black screen show

It was fine, but when I try to chang the program setting I saw writting with the screen will go black for 5 second (yes or no ) I pressed yes then ather screen writting say do you see the writting (yes or no) I press yes then the csreen went black all the time.
I tried several time to see any writting on the screen to restore the defult setting ..with no result.
just the vcd playback timer is work.
that is my problem and I am waiting for the solution to see my new movies
