Im having problems getting my modem to get online. The light wont come on.

I have the same problem the top power light comes on but the light underneath it the recieve light does not work, i need help.

What light does not come on? There is the power light and several other lights. Is there also an on/off switch on the modem itself?

Can't Connect To Internet

This has to be set up with a cable connected to it for the first time. Should be an install disk with this as well but if not you will have to get online somewhere and download driver.

Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Computer tells me i have no internet connection but im online

this sounds like the internet service is available because the internet light does come on but it sounds like the password is incorrect. i suggest you contact your ISP to confirm you access is ok

Cant hook up xbox 360 to internet

does this help it sounds like you are puting your cable in to the 360 and the modem you wont have a internet ligth on untill you try to connect the 360 to go live you must reset the modem

Problems can you help

Shut down computer (not restart), power cycle modem (unlpug) for thirty seconds. Recconnect power to modem, wait untill all lights are online. Boot up computer, once fully booted.. click start, run, type the following. CMD, in the window that pops up, type ipconfig, then ipconfig/release "you will see lan dissconect message in lower right hand corner" then type ipconfig/renew, then type ipconfig/all and finally type exit. Fire up your web browser and you should be online.

Your modem is not synching. It could be a number of possibilities, and you're going to have to do some troubleshooting to narrow it down.

Verify that your AC, Cat 5, & ethernet cables are connected securly
Verify that your modem is not in "standby" mode
Power cycle your modem
Try a different cable outlet
Call your ISP to make sure your modem is provisioned and your service is set up for cable internet.
