Thermal Printer Problem

I presently have a Zebra Z6M 203 DPI Thermal Printer.I also have an original copy of NiceLabel Software SE.When I install NiceLabel, it says I need to go to the Nicelabel web-site and download a "NiceDriver" for the Zebra Z6M 203 DPI Themral Printer. I select the proper version and I download, but when I go back into the Nicelabel program, a window pops up and states"This software version supports only a limited range of Printers (Genco). No such printer is installed on the system. Please install the approriate printer driver. If the printer driver is not included with the software, click the download Printer Drivers Button and follow onscreen instructions. Can anyone help me so I can use NiceLabel with my Zebra Z6M 203 dpi Thermal Printer.

Did you just download the drivers or did you install them too?

Have you rebooted since installing the drivers?

Why bother with a new driver?
Use any driver with a resolution of 203 dpi and you can print.
The software cannot use new drivers probably. Or its a way to have you buy the latest version

We use Nice Labels software in house and it uses the standard windows printer drivers. A good alternate site for printer drivers is seagullscientific.com.
Any further driver probs, contact me at www.lancerlabels.co.uk

Zebra 105sl printer labels print too small

There are 3 different DPI Printheads for Zebra printers if you print a label set up for a 200 DPI Printhead on a printer with a 300 DPI Printhead installed it will be about 66% of the size.

Print configuration from both printers and compare. Print config- Hold cancel button 10 sec. while power on. Check Resolution parameter. 203dpi=8MM Full , 300dpi=12MM Full. Sounds like perhaps they are different dpi.

I want to change the printer ribbon on Zebra s600 203 dpi, is there a way it will rewind existing ribbon off?

Thermal printers don't use ribbons or ink. They transfer images/text with heat on to special thermal paper.

Can we make 300 dpi Zebra 105 SL printer to print on label expecting 203 DPI, Any configuration setting?

Krishan, sorry there are no settings that will allow you to do this on the 105SL. If the printer code expecting a 203 DPI printhead and you have a 300 DPI Printer then your label will print out much smaller then normal.

If you are printing labels with a label printing package (such as Seagull Bartender for Windows) then all you need to do is to install the proper printer driver. If you have your printer attached to a system that is sending "straight" ZPL (Zebra Printing Language Code) then your out of luck.

Hope this helps

How to change the printhead from 300 to 203 dpiin my 105s ?

You can't change it with software, you have to order and install the 200 DPI printhead. Available from Zebra and some retailers on the internet.

Barcodes

Not sure if this is 100% fixed but the teklynx had two zebra printers listed, one 200 dpi and another 203 dpi, when switched to 203 dpi the barcodes came back. The labels prompt for conversion to 203 dpi and aren't perfect but close enough to use.

Change printhead

You would need to replace the printhead and the main logic board.

You proposed change is not feasible.

Sorry.
