Been on hold with iriver support for 24 minutes I hold down the circle and select browser and browser does nothing. Please help! Upgraded to most current firmware, though it kept crashing at 50% from IRiver site. Don't want to reformat, but will if necessary. Sigh....
Re-format it. on player go to settings, then advanced then format. select format, say yes and it should reboot. if that doesn't work you need to upgrade the firmware. got to iriveramerica.com, support, ultra portabale support and download firmware updater software. Not a bad idea to upgrade firmware in either case. Your music will be lost when you format but you can simply re-load it from your music manager on your PC.
