Polaroid FLM 3232 is making a loud crackling noise overpowering volume
I purchased the Polaroid FLM 3232 back in July 2006 after reading GREAT reviews on this product. However, after 8 months with no problems, my television has started to make a loud crackling noise overpowering the volume. It does this continously and now, the resolution has started to decrease. In addition, it has no response to the remote and no response when we try to turn it off or increase/decrease volume using the buttons on the tv--I have to unplug it to turn it off.
Please advise, thank you.

Pull the back pf the TV off and remove all the boards in the center. Take the board to your nearest radio shack and tell the you need new resisters for the boards. buy a solder iron and replace all resisters that have pop'ed tops with same resisters.

this sounds like the problem most LCD tv's get with swelled up
capacitors in the power supply board. look for circular cylinder shaped
parts rapped in plastic with writting on the sides, and metal tops, if
the top is rounded over, not flat, it is bad. replace them.
