Flash is not working on my Sony DSC P41 camera. Once it stop working I noticed that camera is very sensitive to shake. It takes good photos outdoor, inside i have to switch to candle mode. Is there anything I can do about it?

I have a p41 and the flash board is boad, what other camera has the same flash board that can be swapped out I think I have read the P73 has the same board. Thanks

having the same problem....there is no way to turn on the flash......just came back from Cabo and was not able to use the camera inside for anykind of pictures.....Just like the previous camera problem I have some great Cabo pictures outdoor but inside was the pits. Thanks for any help.

Hello, I have the same problem, I show that the flash capacitor is at six volts, so I beleive the capacitor is holding charge, I think I'll try to get a new bulb.........If I can find one.

Replacement of the flash unit or the flash bulb itself can solve your problem. You should contact the nearest Sony Service for the price estimate. I can give you the price, but it is valid only for my account (Europe-Serbia). If you need more info please advice.

I just replied your previous question that this problem occurs due to ccd imager chip failure that will be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.
Local camera repair shop will replace it, let me know if you need part number of ccd imager chip of DSC-T33 camera.

Hi Jim,
Have you tried resetting all settings on the camera? On a Sony camera, it is called "initialize". The initialize setting is found by going to the menu, and tabbing down until you find an option called either "reset settings" or "initialize settings" and then confirm it.
Many times that will fix the issue, in case something has either been enabled/disabled on accident, or the software is sticking (which happens from time to time)

Why is your camera shaking? Go into the setup menu...maybe you can turn the vibration warning off.

Blurry pictures after I have had no trouble in the past

If this is happening only in low-light situations when the flash is not on, check your manual to turn the camera's high-sensitivity feature on. Or change the ISO to the highest setting (1000 is good) for these pictures. That should reduce blur and shake. Of course, putting the camera on a tripod or beanbag, or resting your elbows on a solid surface, will have the same effect.

Flash not working

I had the same problem with my flash not working on any setting, but I found a way to fix it: hit the menu button, make sure the "rec mode" choice is set to normal instead of burst. I think the burst mode takes multiple shots in a row, so the flash isn't compatible with that setting?
