A glasses screw driver on a key ring will remove them. They cost about $2.00. If you mean the ES9839 ladies fossil watch, you need Renata 379 battery or other brand equivalent.

SOURCE: removing the back to change battery

The plastic wrist band doesn't have to be cut away. You need to dislodge the spring-loaded end of the pin from the hole in the plastic with the blade of a sharp thin knife.

The you proceed to lift one of the 4 snaps to open the cover. The battery is under a white translucent inside cover.

The original battery was Sony SR621SW.

Pay attention to the rubber seal ring when putting the watch back together.

SOURCE: For Casio F-91W how do I replace battery? I see 4

Most of these resin-case F-series Casio sport watches use a fairly large lithium coin cell battery. Once the four screws holding the watch back are removed, you should be able to just pop off the stainless steel spring clip that holds the cell in place and pull it out, without having to remove any more screws. Be careful when replacing the clip, because it is asymmetrical and goes in only one way. Also be careful not to lose the tiny spring contact that connects the watch movement to the piezoelectric sound element glued to the watch back. If you lose the spring, the watch will still run, but the alarm won't sound anymore.

SOURCE: POD watch battery replacement.

Unscrew the screws holding that contact. Memorize where each screw was - they can be different in length. Fit new battery, put contact back in place and screw all screws back exactly where they were. After that you may need to shortcut battery's+ and AC point (marked on movement) for resetting your watch. Use tweezers to do that. Rate me, plz.

SOURCE: How do I replace a battery on a kenneth cole watch

Open watch case back, then release the metal contact covering the battery. Memorize battery's polarity (+ up and - down), then take the battery out. Memorize the combination of letters and numbers on battery (should be something like: CR 3216 or similar). Make does not matter - Seiko is as good as Maxell, Panasonic2_bing.gif and other reputable makes. Buy new battery with identical combination of letters and numbers and put in your watch. Replace back contact, gasket and case back. Set your watch and enjoy. Rate me, please.

What is the battery size for fossil blue am-4090

From the Fossil website

However.....

Tip & How-To about Watches

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

WHAT TOOL DO I NEED TO REMOVE THE BACK OF FOSSIL BLUE #BQ-9232 AND HOW AVAILABLE ARE THE BATTERIES FOR REPLACEMENT?

Most watch backs either screw off with a special case opener that every wachmaker uses or pried off with a knife like case opener or sometimes a knife. Take this to your local watchmaker for battery replacement. Batteries are readily available but are a bit tricky to install properly and are best installed by a qualified watchmaker.

How do I remove the back off a fossill watch to replace the batteries

If it doesn't have the indentations for a tool used to screw off the case back then its a pry off type and you need to use a sharp tool and pry off under the case against the band post

Fossil Kaleido Watch LI22248 replacement batteries???

Depending on the age of the watch it could have a ECR series battery over the top of the 377 powering the movement or it could have 2 377's in the circuit board over 1 377 in the movement.

I always recommend taking Fossil watches to a certified repair shop that can re-seal the watch so you dont void your 12 year warranty and the watch remains water resistant and resistant to small particles.

CH2301 battery replacement. How open compartment?

There are 2 ways that Fossil closes the caseback on their watches.  It is either a 'pop-off' caseback that you will need to pry off.  Get something very small and thin, such as a small flathead screwdriver.  There is usually a small groove somewhere around the edge of the caseback where you can insert the blade.  The other type screws off.  You will need to unscrew the caseback.  You can determine if it screws off by looking for 6 notches around the outside edge of the caseback.  You will use these notches to insert a tool to rotate the caseback off.  Without a specialized tool called a watch-wrench, I suggest bringing it to a store such as Precision Time or Tourneau.

How to change my battery on my fossil watch?

when you look at the back are there three small rectangular indents evenly spaced on the edge on the back? If so you'll need a special tool for opening waterproof watches. the tool adjusts to fit the three indents then press down as you turn counterclockwise. you can find the tool on amazon.com or your local jewelry store. make sure the gasket is in place and not damaged before screwing the back on.

here is a link to the tool
http://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-Professional-Waterproof-Adjustments-Caseback/dp/B000K3SK0Y

the type f battery will be written on the battery and you can usually find them at a drug store, hardware store or jewelry store that sells watches.
