Printer keeps trying to load paper but it seems to only be pulling on the right side..then it pops up an errror that says theres no paper in the printer...what can i do?
Hi, thankyou for the clue as to how to get an MP450 working. Trying that tonight...oh, what sort of grease, how do you apply it...maybe to save a mess...thankyou.

My printer does that too, after many copies have been printed out. There is this mechanism that pushes the paper forward and another to slide one paper in... well it won't get in. I tried to add "grease" at the right side, "facing the printer", of that mechanism that made contact to the rollers which slides a paper in.. well my printer now works fine

I also have the same problem. I cleaned the roller heads (using the function supplied in the printer driver maintenance tab) at least 3 times. This didn't seem to work too well but I also selected the "quiet" mode for printing which I think slows the paper feed and this seemed to help. The problem is still there but at least the paper feeds through now (it was getting stuck before). I did a couple of test prints and I'm not seeing any skewed printing so far so we'll see. I'll check back here to see if you found any other solutions.

I have the same problem,
what do you mean exactly by "grease" the mechanism ?
put oil into it somewhere ?
tx in advance
My Canon Mp450 is pulling on paper on the right (as you look at it) then makes some strange noises before finally reporting that no paper has been loaded, it occasionally also says that there is a paper jam but I can't find it. I should add that my husband had a habit of leaving his coins on top of the printer and one of them fell in. Any idea what else I can do before i have to give up and spend a lot of money on a new one for the sake of a problem caused by a 5p?
Have the same problem, except that my computer always says it's a paper jam rather than no paper. I've tried the first solution below to no avail, and I don't know what "grease" in quotation marks means below. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd be most appreciative. This is a perfectly good printer/copier, but it's making me want to go "Office Space" on it's a*s. Thanks!
