How do I delete a channel I set as a favorite?

Google the model number with the word manual after it to locate the owners manual if you do not have it.

Most sets in the menu when you call up favorites allow you to click with the remote on the one you want removed or added and to delete or add it to the list.

How do i reset this tv?

The TV will search for active channels and add them itself. Use the remote to select the on screen menu and go to the Channel Setup mode. Then just push the up arrow and it will add the channels for you automatically.

There is a possibility that this set has another "mode' where you can select "hotel" or "standard" if it's there make sure you set that to standard the "hotel" mode disables some of the features like the ability to set the channels. I can't find this owners manual on line for free (RCA usually won't provide them) I can't be more specific. I doubt that you got a copy of the owners manual when you got the TV.

Have a black-out square appear on some channels especially FOX

GO INTO THE MENU AND TURN THE TEXT OFF. THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLOSED CAPTION. CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, T1, T2, T3, T4, OFF

More channels

Go into the menu to the "Search" tab, channel down until you are on "auto search" then press "volume up"

this will automatically add channels you can get, you can manually change skip settings there too if you want to not see a channel you get or for some reason add a channel you don't get etc.
