Troubleshooting I'm borrowing a friend's Canon Digital Rebel XT 350D. I've been using it fine over the past few days. This afternoon I left it in my room this afternoon in the bag. A little bit ago, I went to use the camera. It turned on fine and the battery was full (or at least according to the lcd); but when I went to take a picture, the light from the flash flashed several times, a beeping noise sounded, and a small white light to the left (it's to the left when you're holding the camera in your hands) of the shutter button. What could be wrong and how could I fix it?

This isn't actually an issue; these cameras are designed to operate like that. First off, the camera pulses the flash to focus in dim light (mostly indoors). You can turn this off via Custom Function 05. The beeping sound, activated by default, is the camera telling you that it's focused on something. You can disable the beep by pressing Menu, scrolling down to "Beep," and choosing "Off." The small white light is either the countdown indicator (if you're in timer mode) or the red-eye reduction lamp. Again, you can disable the red-eye reduction lamp through the menu. See the bottom of http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/CanonEOS350D/page11.asp for more information on custom functions.
