I dont know how to put music in my r4i

Your friend is right in part, if you want to put music on your r4i you can, if you drop and drap the music you want onto your sdcard like you would games, you can keep them in mp3 form, i did this for my grandaughter, when i put them on the card i dropped them onto the moonshl folder, then when you turn the dsi on you go to the moonshl folder and you can find the music their and play it, when your friend said you have to convert to aac files thats if you put them on a sdcard on the side of the dsi insert them, if you do that you have to convert to aac, the dsi will not play mp3 files, but it will if you put them on the games card and drop them onto the moonshl folder, if you want to convert your files for the sdcard on the side of the dsi, what you have to do is download itunes if you have not allready, put the music you want to play on your nsi into a playlist on itunes, click on the song then click on where it says create aac version, then when you do that you will see itunes converting it, when you have done that with all the songs you want, right click on each track that itunes has converted and click on where it says show in windows explorer, then when you have all the songs in windows explorer folder drop and drag them all to your sdcard, then put the card into the side slot of your dsi, turn on your dsi, and find the sd menu and their you will find your music, hope this helps you.

Downloading

What do you want to know? How to download music, or how to put in on your mp3-player?

To download music, i 'd say search google...

To put music on your mp3 player just connect the player to your pc with the USB-cable, go to 'my computer' on your pc and select your player.

You will see 2 folders: Data and Media. Put your music in the media folder.

If you have other files like text files, put it in the data folder, which will not be accessible from your player, but only from a pc...

How to convert music from itunes to your mp3 player??

You cannot use Itunes for anything except an Ipod device. And any files you get from the Itunes or Rhapsody for example are copy protected and require specific software to copy to an MP3 player.

If your songs are in MP3 format (not downloaded from Itunes or another subscription site) then you can set your Sansa to "MSC" mode which makes it act like a flash drive. Then you can just drag files to the "MUSIC" folder on the sansa.

If this is on an Apple computer things are different - if you are let us know.

How can I take music off and put new music on

The music that is on any mp3 player is a copy of what you have stored in the library of your computer music software so if you want to delete a song from your mp3 player you have to delete it on the computer then syncronise. This is the same if you want new music, you have to add to your library first. You cannot delete music using any of the controls on the actual mp3 player.
