Our tv won't turn off or on with the remote anymore. It is the remote that came with the direct tv. The remote works with the direct tv box if we go through the dvd player. Also we got another tv and the remote doesn't work either. You can turn both tv's on manually and everything if fine. We replaced the batteries on the remotes. Is there a fuse or something on the t.v that controls the remote?
No, there is no fuse on the television that control the remote, there is a component that they call IF means infrared.its a circuit that recieved the signal from the remote, amplify them and convert them to signals then decoded by the system control.if the remote is not working with the two tv then the IF circuit needs to be repaired.since you say that the remote works with the direct tv box.then i could assume that the remote is working.it could also be that the remote is not compatible with the tvs.try getting the the right remotes for the tv and see what happens.if it does not turn the tv on then we safely say it is the IF circuit.then you will have to take your set to a repair tech for repairs.good luck.

oneforall remote stopped turning on my tv. How should I re-do the program to turn on my tv? I have changed the batteries on the remote, but I do not remember how to program my tv. I have lost the oneforall manual.
