Question about Fisher 9925 Shelf System
M-Error is a mechanical error and could have a multitude of causes. just went through it with a TAD-5160 unit where it was a small slip gear moving a tin lever to ingage the transport sled to insert or eject the disk from and to the carusel. You may have to take the unit apart and asess the problem. Harleysp.

I just repaired a Fisher Studio 60 60 cd player with the M-ERROR message. The problem turned out to be four small wheels with tires that the carousel rides on. The tires had deteriorated to a tar-like substance, and the rotation of the carousel deposited it all over the lip beneath the carousel. After disassembly and cleaning of the carousel and lower lip, and replacement of the tires with rubber o-rings from the hardware store, the unit performs like it should. Evidently the added 'drag' from the tar under the carousel triggered the M-ERROR message.
