Regular TV, you mean by the aerial and internal tuner, if it is like that, then it is a problem with the TV tuner board. If by regular TV you mean an external TV box, then the TV box is faulty or you have a cable or ferquency problem.
Have a Mitsubishi 65 rear projection menu keeps fading on and off, any ideas of the problem. Bulb just replaced 2 months ago, no problems with bulb. Also a DVD works fine, but tv picture will not come on.
samsung dlp tv hlp4667w still picture and white lines over picture with no sound, i turn it off and then on by unpluging the tv and it worked. the picture is shaky from right to left. there is no response from the remote or the main switch on tv when this happens.
It's not connections. On that particular unit I would suspect the Digital board, Samsung p/n# Bp94-02084a or the Dmd board. Have you ever noticed the picture freeze?
In any event, sounds as though you're going in the right direction having a tech test it out, it gets highly complicated...
Not sure why he replaced the lamp - but maybe he found it was about to expire.
