Monitors mix the 3 "primary" colours, in various proportions, to produce all other colours.
Mix equal parts of all 3 colours, and you get WHITE.
Mix equal parts of only 2 colours, and you get YELLOW.
So, either:
1. your computer's video-card is not sending the 3rd colour;
2. your video-cable between the computer and the monitor is broken, and is not transmitting the 3rd colour;
3. your video-cable is not TIGHTLY connected at each end;
4. the electronics inside the monitor that SHOULD be producing the 3rd colour have failed.
Try connecting the monitor to a different computer, with the same video-cable. If it works correctly, your video-card is the problem.
Try connecting the monitor with a different video-cable, to see if replacing the cable fixes the problem.
Try connecting the monitor to a different computer, with a different video-cable. If it still is incorrect, then the monitor needs repair/replacement.
Sir this usually happens because of Serial cable getting damaged I have been through same problem have took my monitor every where but was no use in the end I thought of changin monitor serial cable and now its working great. So I would recommed you to change serial cable.
Try updating your video card drivers as well as your monitor drivers and see if all the resolutions work at that point. If they work then everything is good to go, if it doesn't work then try another working monitor and if you still have the color blending problems then the video card is faulty.
sometimes speaker magnets or any metallic device can cause this disturbance in this type of monitor. also, if you are using dvi, i would reset all video driver settings to default. this may correct this green tint you are seeing as well. reinstalling the monitor software could have a positive affect.
there may 2 problems 1 ) Problem with the Data Cable connector the Pins might be damaged try to arrange them if disturbed / bend . if Broken change the connector. 2) Open the monitor see the soldering carefully you can locate out the dry solders easily by seeing the flux colour around it . just put the solder over there..by soldering gun to all places where u can see the dry solder.
your problem is in blue color cathode circuit.
as you say that it becomes ok tha5t means
1 cable wire is loose from computer to monitor.
2 crt base loose.
3 loose contact in blue video ckt.
4 signal processor cable to crt board connector loose.(blue wire)
