I have a Coby DVD player, Model DVD-626, and the remote all of the sudden has stopped responding. I did change batteries but it still will not respond. I tried programming a learning remote I have but it also would not accept a signal from the remote. I didn't drop the remote or anything so don't know why all of the sudden it would stop working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a COBY DVD player TF-DVD7005 that hadn't been used in a while. When I charged the battery and the light went from red to green, nothing happens when I push play and the DVD doesn't spin. Could the battery be dead despite the green light and where would I get a new one?

I have fixed my remote! What I did was first I took a Q-tip and dunked it in alcohol and then cleaned the battery contacts. At first that seemed to work but then the remote stopped working again. So I looked at the remote's battery contacts again and noticed that one of them had some bad corrosion on it. I then took a very small piece of fine sandpaper and carefully sanded off the corrision. It worked and now a week later my remote is still working.

I had the same problem with the 514 -- it must be a glitch in the manufacturing! I will try the sandpaper!
