Hey, I'm having some major problems with my computer. I recently attempted to install WoW (World of Warcraft) and what happend after the installation my computer tried saying I didn't have a graphics card So I tried looking into my computer and my graphics card is built into my K7VMM+ motherboard and I did a little research to find out that it was a EliteGroup AG315T graphics card now Im trying to find a driver so I can continue to use it. Im not sure if thats my problem though, when I run DxDiag and goto Display it says "The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer." Anyone know what to do? My computer is a couple years old now and it didnt come with any Hardware Drivers. thanks.
Use the same drivers. Click on the link below and on the page that loads look for the VGA column. Go down to the second driver listed (K7VMM), download and install on your PC. Your game probably tried to mess with your video driver and messed it up thus the default to the Windows default driver. I?m guessing you probably downloaded and installed the manufacturer?s video chipset driver on your motherboard. The rule of thumb is to get the drivers for a built-in device from the motherboard manufacturer unless they specifically state otherwise. Download page: http://www.ecsusa.com/downloads/drivers_k7v.html Try this one and let us know if you have any other questions. As always please don?t forget to rate this posting.
