Was told it may need to be recharged...I don't wear watch everyday, so it not in light...please advise...Thanks!
Old watches have a spring which you must wind. Other watches have a battery which must be changed when depleted. The AUTOMATIC watches have to be worn because the mechanism acquires energy by the motion of the hand. Solar watches must be exposed to direct sunlight to recharge a battery inside the watch. While worn they must see the light occasionaly. If the watch is a solar one and you are not wearing it, do not store it in an opaque box, but in a place where it can receive light (from the sun or a light bulb.

well here it is and you are gonna kick yorself! just had the same problem, put it in light and nothing. you need to pull the pin as though you are setting the time and then just wait, not long just a minute or so ......... and hey presto you're sorted. push the pin back in and its working. if not good luck.

You need to expose this watch to sunlight for about 8 hours to let it recharge it's solar cell. Make sure that sunlight is shining directly on the face and not just "kind of" shining on the face. I put it in a window ledge where the sun beats down to make sure it gets the most sunlight possible.
Repeat this for a few days to make sure it's fully charged.

I had the same issue, and was able to reset it doing the following:
1. I let it recharge for at least a day in bright sunlight
2. I turned the selector to "CHR"
3. I pulled the crown all the way out.
4. I held both buttons down for 5 seconds (don't know if this was what did it.
5. I pushed the crown back in.
It did some funky hand movements stuff and then started off working.

Leave your watch on window sill (sunshine must be plenty) for a week. If the watch will not keep charge after that, visit your closest watch repair shop and ask to replace capacitor. Rate me, plz.
