SOURCE: Phaser 6360 laser failure code 07

Hi,

Yeah I had a look at the website there too, try powering down again and plugging it out for a longer period of time. You need to get the whole machine to reset and loose all saved info in the bios. Also cleaning it out of all loose toner on any contacts might help!

There's probably not much you can do about this except change the fuser. Check everything is clean inside, too. There's some information about the Xerox 7300, including the service manuals on my web site, if you want to take a look :

Xerox Phaser 4500 printer has a U4 fuser code.

Hi,

From the Xerox Phaser 4500 Service Manual (here), the main problems could be one of:

  • Warm-up failure - Fuser warm-up not complete within 110 seconds after
  • starting.
  • Cool-down error - Cool-down process not complete within 200 seconds.
  • Low trouble temperature - The fuser temperature drops to the low trouble
  • temperature (approximately current control temperature, minus
  • approximately 25°C).
  • High trouble temperature - The fuser temperature rises to the high trouble
  • temperature (approximately current control temperature, plus
  • approximately 35°C).
  • STS circuit open
  • STS failure - The heat rod remains on for at least 10 seconds after warm-
  • up has completed

It could be that your fuser needs to be replaced, but as you can see that code relates to a couple of problems, so even replacing the Fuser might not fix the problem.

If it doesn't even do the warm up checks it is likely to be the fuser because the other components such as STS failure and cooldown won't have had a chance to run..

I am geeting error code 48 on my phaser 7750dn

that is a fan failure code, Either the Fuser fan ( most likely) behind the back cover near the front.Low voltage power supply fan or rear cover fan is not operating.
Most of the time it is the fuser fan that is not running or even if its running slow it will give you that error code.

Here are the notes
Problem:
Fan Failure Message (Code / Error 48)
Cause:
The machine logic detected a failure of the Fuser fan, LVPS fan or rear fan.
Solution: thumbsup.gif Fixed! thumbsdn.gif Did not fix.
  1. Insure there is adequate ventilation around printer. Refer to Section 1 of Service Manual for required clearances.
  2. Follow the procedure in Chapter 3 for this error.
  3. This problem can be very intermittent. Fans can work in diagnostics and fail in the middle of large print jobs. If unable to duplicate problem replace all 3 fans.
  4. Use service diagnostics to verify the Fuser, LVPS, and ROS fans. These fans have a third wire which provides feedback to the Engine Board.
  5. Visually check each or these fans for a build up of dust or toner.
  6. There is a correction to this procedure in the Service Manual. The fans that can cause this error are the Fuser, LVPS, and ROS(laser fan). Not the Rear fan. The rear and bottom (developer) fans are not monitored by the system and won't generate this error.
Parts that may resolve this issue are:
  • FAN ASSEMBLY, FUSER (63%)
  • FAN ASSY; LOW VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY (45%)
  • FAN REAR ASSEMBLY (Laser Fan) (25%)

Fan Failure Error 54

1 of 2 things.
You need to clean or replace the fan.
You have to remove the back, right side and top cover to access that fan.It is near the back just behind the fuser module.
It could also be the low voltage power supply fan. Most likely the fuser fan.
Once you remove the fan, there is a label on it, remove the label, There is a rubber plug behind the label, remove the plug and drip some lubricant into the fan. Reassembly and it should be ok.
I would recommend replacing the defective fan though.
Here is a very reliable part source.
https://www.partsdrop.com/store/

If you call ask for Britt and specify the model number and that you need a fuser fan and probably order a Power supply fan, Neither are very expensive.
Have both on hand to be 100 percent sure the problem is resolved, But its a 90 percent fuser fan failure code. It operated in a heated area and can dry out faster.
