No cold water from bathtub fixture/Shower won't engage

My bath tub fixture will not let cold water out. Nor will it activate the shower.
Can you help me on this?
It does not have two seperate hot/cold taps, just one where both cold/hot are mixed.

Found out that the mechanism inside the faucet was bad. Price Pfister sent me a new one. All I had to do was pay shipping.

Also determined it was a two fold problem. The divertor valve in the tub spout was bad too. Price Pfister sent me one of those too.

Faucet wouldn't run hot and cold water together. Now no cold water at all comes out of faucet.

If you put on the cold and Nothing at all comes out, check the water supply valve to the tub. If it comes out alittle ...the washer probiblly came off and is stuck you will have to remove the valve ,but 1st check that the handle is not stripped ,and that is actually moving the valve to the open position Turn the handle and see if the handle backs out ,like its trying to open.
Please rember to leave me some positive feedback if Ive been Helpful! Thanks !

Should I replace my only bathtub with a shower?

that is up to you
but consider this
Age or physical problems makes baths difficult and dangerous
so a shower stall with a seat is a better properisition
next showering last for around 7 minutes and that amount of water is less than 1/2 tub unless you stand under the shower until the hot water runs out
lastly , I have never considered it hygienic to wash you face in the same water that you wash your rear in

Hot water pressure is weak. Shower head isn't clogged. Cold water pressure is good. How do I increase the hot water pressure?

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

Does Kohler recolor existing fixtures? Do you have pedestal sinks and tubs for art deco period such that one could get a light teal or purple tub or sink?

The companies don't recolor fixtures but there are bath refinshing outfits that do. There are also do it yourself kits to be had. I did a harvest gold shower once and it still looks good after 7 years.

I recently move into a condo that has a Delta single lever Series 1400 single lever bathtub fixture. The bathtub has a shower nozzle that looks like it has been used. I cannot find where there is a button,...

Is there a button on the tub filler? How about the spout on the tub, does it lift up? If there is not a tub spout then it should be shower only, if it has a tub spout it has to have a lifter of some sort, the foto I found showed the little button lifter. Hope this helps.

Shower head leaks water when water is turned on

take out the cartridge from the fixture and make sure it has all of the "O" rings and stoppers.
look at the instruction again, make sue you are installing it the right side up. if all that, the shower still leak, then you need to talk to the place you brought the fixture, it may have a defective cartridge.
