Hey just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on my monitor. This will probably sound weird but the screen keeps popping out at me while making a click from inside. Then the picture got wider and doesnt fit the screen almost if it trying to fit a widescreen. I have tried changing the settings on screen but nothing happening.
Does it meen the monitor has had it and will i need to get a new one ??

Re: Dell M922 monitor problem
To change the resolution back to something more reasonable go to the control panel (start, settings, control panel) and double left click on the Display icon. Click on the settings tab. The color quality should be set a high as possible, usually 32 bit or true color. Then click on the Advanced button in the lower right corner and on the next screen click on the Monitor tab. In the Monitor settings make sure the Screen refresh rate is set between 70 and 75 Hertz (the higher the number the less obvious the screen flicker will be but don?t set any higher). Click on the OK button to go back to the previous screen.
Once that is set you want to increase the Screen Resolution using the slider bar to the left. For a 19? screen you would want to set it to a minimum of at least 1024 x 768. The typical setting is 1280 x 1024 depending on monitor / video card capabilities and personal tastes. Once you get the resolution back to the original settings your screen will display as it did before the ?change?.
If you find another resolution setting you like better we?ll need to make some adjustments to the monitor itself. Just let us know.
Ordinarily screen resolution changes doesn?t just happen, it?s usually the result of a program, user or problem. If that is the case you?ll need to post anther question along with details about what is happening just before the change occurs along with your operating system and any other pertinent information.

That's the inverter board on the monitor (the ones which gives power to the monitor) or the lamp on the monitor. Try to see if after it boots (prob after 5 minutes) you can see what's on the screen (even though it's really dark), if you can't see anything at all it means it's the screen. Also you can use it in the meantime by connecting another monitor and press FN (function) and F8 (probably twice) and you will see everything on the external monitor. I hope this helps.
My name is Richard; I work for Dell here in Round Rock, Texas. From what you describe, it sounds like the menu button is depressed in such a way that small movement activates its function. I could not suggest any real corrective options as this is most likely a mechanical issue with the button, and would require a technician to open the monitor and inspect that. I am not going to recommend you open the monitor case as it can be dangerous.
I would suggest you call our tech support at 1-800-822-8965 ex. 726-8859, and find out if the monitor is still under warranty.
