Not everytime, but every couple of days that I use the HP6280 printer on my computer, it installs the driver again. It has all the copies listed as different choices to print from (I'm currently up to Copy 13). It will only print if the latest copy is selected. Each time it installs it comes up with a msg to allow an exe program to run. I've done this a few times and it's told me that installation is complete (including having to use the installation CDs again). I can't be bothered going through all this and just cancel this msg now. I don't use this printer with any other computers or any other printers on this computer.
I know this sounds silly, but make sure that the CD is out of the drive when you reboot, otherwise it will automatically run the installation software.
To delete those other drivers:
1. Open Printers by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Printers.
2. Right-click the printer that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
Hope this helped and have a wonderful holiday!

Same problem, and I do not have the set up disk in.
Printer might work might not. Installes multiple copies of the driver. CD is NOT in the system.
