Have a coleman mach3 2 speed fan..can I change to varible speed to slow it down and make it quiet. It is in a small space (horse trailer)

Since it is in a smaller space, it could run slower and would like to put a thermostat on it to completly shut it off when the desired temp. is hit.

SOURCE: coleman tsr mach 3 RV Air Conditioner

the fan motor bearings need lub....the shaft has a tiny access hole to put some oil into. because the fan shaft is slowing down, it is putting more strain on the voltage current, and eventually the internal breaker shuts down the ac........plus your condenser is not getting enough air accross it, compressor heats up, and it too will shut the unit down......older units have to be oiled every year, and eventually it too will fail, and a new blower motor assembly is needed or replace the ac unit.....blower motor units are around $130....now you install it or pay to have it done at around another $150 labor,,,,,try yourself, if it fails then call the tech........let me know [email protected]

You need to check the breaker for the A/C in the electrical panel, and have the fuses in the disconnect located near the A/C outdoor unit.

SOURCE: My coleman evcon fan motor does not come on. I put

Did you check to see if you have power or fuse blown? If it is a furnace/ air handler and you are comfortable with electricity. Turn
Power off, remove blower door. Find where thermostat wires come into the control board and remove them. If you can find a jumper wire or aligator clips, hook them between R and G. Put blower
door back on and turn on power,

Fan should come on right away, if it does you might have a thermostat problem. If nothing happens but you can hear it hum
or hear nothing at all. Then more than likely the capacitor is bad and or the motor is bad.

Coleman model numbers

Is there not a wiring diagram right on the inside of the door. Your question is all over the place, the condenser is not going to flood the house and has nothing to do with the fan. Slow down a little bit and edit your question.

The trailer did not have a air conditioner in it before the trailer place installed the new dometic air conditioner. The trailer year is a 1976 AMF Skamp. I told the trailer place that I wanted a 15000 btu...

You have too small a cord on it if it's heating up and then popping your breaker. The a/c has am amp rating on it's data tag, read it and then read the amp capacity of your breaker and the cord your using. If the a/c draws more than 80% of the rated amps for the cord and breaker then you need to find another way to power it up with a bigger cord and a bigger outlet. DO NOT just install a bigger breaker, it is sized for the wiring in your home and a bigger amp draw on that wiring could burn your house down.

To loud, do they have a better muffler kit

Most likely a different muffler is available for easy bolt-on solution. Best way to check is to find model and type of engine and check with engine distributor in your area or the web. Engine model is usually found on the starter/fan cover or the block. The problem is the limited space within the frame of the generator. Other solution is to contact a small engine service center for modification. There are several sources for quiet mufflers, however takes creative installation. Take a look at other generators with very quiet mufflers for ideas (different types of machine may use the same engine so take notice how other types lawn equipment /tools deal with noise ). Some generators are made for camping or use in quiet zones and use other methods for quieting the unit. Still other generators are noisy even with large mufflers. Good luck with your project.

I was wondering if there are different fan speeds for my tempstar joist hung furnace and where do i find these

Generally ther are at least three speeds and the wiring should be on the motor if they are varible speed. There should be a wiring diagram on a small plate or sticker on the side of the motor.Hope this helps you. Thanks

My computers cooling fan keeps speeding up and slowing down is that a good thing or a bad thing

I'm assuming your desktop has an AMD processor?
AMD have a process called "quiet and cool" this basically speeds up the fan when the processor is under load and getting hot or slows it down when the processor isn't working as hard.

I have a coleman evcon gas furnace in a 95 trailer the draft fan stays on until you tap on furnace

Most Coleman units in a trailer dont have a draft fan. Are you talking about the fan that blows air through the floor registers? If yes, then you will probably need a new fan/limit control. If you do have a draft motor, you would probably need a new circuit board or draft fan relay.

Rotates in only one direction

There is a small 'slide' switch on the fan body that will reveres the motor. There is a pull chain up there too, pull it once to change speed and again to change speed again.

Coleman furnace problem

Sometimes people replace the blower motors with a higher horse power. Has this motor ever been changed? I believe the original should be a GE motor
