The most basic tricks to learn as a beginner are tuck, pike and straddle jumps. I think you would benefit from reading about them from the following site,

and if that doesn't help, I have also found you a series of videos that will tutor you through some of these tricks,

Tips for Learning Magic

Magic is as much about the performance of the trick as it is about the trick itself.
All magicians put in hours and hours of practice in order to get good enough to 'trick' their audience.
  • Before you take your tricks to an audience, practice them infront of a mirror again and again. There's no such thing as too much practice. Once you've really mastered the technicalities of the trick.
  • Get a volunteer such as a family member or good friend to show your tricks to before you take them to a wider audience. They can be honest with you if they think it wasn't great or they were able to see how you did it.
  • You can join a magic club, either on the internet or even better a local one, where you can meet up with other magic enthusiasts to swap tricks and tips.
  • Try and find yourself a magician mentor. Basically anyone with more experience than you and with tricks that you respect.

Practicing is the key but having fun is just as important.
Good Luck!

Here are a few tips for good posture when using a trampoline. 1. Bend your knees when you jump. 2. If you put your hands up or out, bring them back to your side when you land. 3. Try and keep your body straight when you jump. 4. This is the basic technique. Once you get good at this, you can move on to exercising and tricks.

We just bought a new trampoline for our garden. Does it matter where I put it?What's your problem?

Congrats on the new trampoline. I think you should read this article about placing your trampoline before you get started as it gives some really good safety advice about the best place to put it ie not on a hill or uneven surfaces.

Do I need a cover for my trampoline?

Trampoline covers are a really good investment. They protect from weather damage, frost, falling leaves etc if you use a trampoline cover you are less likely to have to replace the bouncing bed or padding on your trampoline, and they can get really expensive.

Does the shape of the trampoline really make a difference or is it simply personal preference?

The shape is not all about aesthetics. Think of stability. A round shaped trampoline is by far the most stable shape available. Round trampolines distribute the weight of jumpers more evenly resulting in less occurrences of tipping. On a circular trampoline the distance between springs are spaced evenly around the perimeter; whereas on a rectangular shaped trampoline where the spacing varies, jumpers will bounce faster and higher in the corners then in the middle of the mat. Round trampolines distribute the weight of jumpers more evenly resulting in less occurrences of tipping.
