I wash our synthetic bags all the time. Load loosely in a top load washer or better
yet use a front-load machine. The front loader tumbles the bag instead
of using an agitator. Use minimum soap, and do an extra rinse. SPIN
SLOWLY. You do not want the weight of the water to tear anything inside
the bag. After it is done, then you can spin it faster because most of
the water will be out. Then dry in the dryer on low heat.
Some people say to put a
couple of tennis balls in with it or an old shoe -- apparently to fluff
it around a bit more. I never do.
