Blackberry Curve rollerball scrolls but will not select when push

take a q-tip with a little amount of alcohol and make sure that the phone is off clean the rollerball. it should work fine. try to clean the ball twice a month.

Reset it by taking out the battery, wait one minute, then replace battery, turn on and wait for phone to start up.

You probably have dust in it. You need to clean it.
Take it to a service center and they will have it cleaned.

Trackball doesn't work if you have not selected the sensitivity. To select the sensitivity, kindly follow the steps: 1. Select menu. 2. Select option. 3. Select screen/key board. 4. Scroll down to find horizontal and verticle 5. Select horizontal-100 and verticle-100.

The balls on the blackberry's get clogged up with finger oil, skin, and all sorts of grime I think. But I fixed mine by shutting the phone down and then rubbing hard against the roll ball in each direction and pushing each time until the clicker under the roll ball clicked. You could also try alcohol.

it sounds like your trackball is dirty the wheels on the inside of the blackberry are gunked up!

at some cases, the problem can be fixed by putting a thin layer of alcohol on your clean fingertip and rolling it in different motions on your blackberry, or if not you can go on ebay and buy a new track ball for no more than 11 dollars!

1. Pull the battery
2. Place the phone in a bag of instant rice (or industrial desiccant if you happen to have some)
   
3. Vacuum seal if possible
4. Give it a week.

After a week of that it will have the best chance of working.
