Can someone please help. my dvdr980 shows ab fo 9214 error cord how can i solve this? thank you in advance
Here is the link to the manual if you need it; http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/d/dvdr980_051/dvdr980_051_dfu_eng.pdf best i could come up with is: unplug machine, then plug it back in while holding down "open/close" and "stop" (Page 49) run through the diagnostics as explained on page 51. This link below gives you available drivers and updates, try updating/reinstalling the driver just in case it is a software issue; http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=GB&slg=ENG&sct=DVD_RECORDERS_SU_GB_CONSUMER&cat=DVD_HOME_THEATER_CA_GB_CONSUMER&grp=HOME_ENTERTAINMENT_GR_GB_CONSUMER&session=20070317090311_81.47.146.201&ctn=DVDR980/051&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software If you still have no luck, please post again. Hope this helps :)

There is a problem in the fuser unit.
Unplug the power cord and plug it back.
If it continues:
Check the fuser , you may need to take it out and verify that it does not have paper debris stuck on or in it. If this does not fix it:
If it is under warranty, call support. If not, you need to replace the fuser.
